After retiring from professional play, he became one of Mexico's most accomplished high-performance coaches, developing national champions across multiple age divisions and ultimately serving as Mexico's Davis Cup Captain.

Marco has organized more than 50 world-class tournaments and has been recognized on five separate occasions by the International Tennis Federation as the organizer of the best Grade A tournament in the world — a distinction that places him in the company of the most respected figures in international tennis administration.
